Job Summary
The Communications Associate will sit at the heart of Vanguard's communications function, equally comfortable behind a camera and behind a content calendar. The role combines primary responsibility for video production — from concepting and scripting through to final edit — with coordination of communications activities across all three brands. Operating within an agile, fast-moving environment, the Communications Associate will have genuine creative ownership over the video content they produce while ensuring the communications pipeline runs smoothly day to day. All concepts and content are reviewed and approved by the Communications Analyst before production or publication.
Job Details
Video Production & Content Creation (60%)
- Develop original video concepts for campaigns, social media, events, and thought leadership content across VE Ltd, the Foundation, and Aflakiosk for review and sign-off before production begins
- Write scripts and shot lists for all productions, translating briefs and impact stories into clear, engaging narratives
- Film all video content across internal and external shoots — including field work, events, office coverage, interviews, and campaign productions — operating available equipment including camera, phone, lens, and lighting
- Edit all footage to a professional standard including colour grading, sound, captions, and graphics; deliver final cuts in formats optimised per platform (LinkedIn, Instagram reels, X, YouTube)
- Deliver raw footage alongside all final edits; maintain an organised archive of all footage and project files
- Contribute creative ideas to the content calendar and campaign planning process; stay current on video trends across platforms and apply them with editorial judgment
Communications Coordination (40%)
- Proactively identify events, activations, and convenings where VE should have a presence across all three brands; coordinate participation, coverage logistics, and creative team scheduling
- Assemble and maintain press kits for VE Ltd, the Foundation, and Aflakiosk — keeping materials current as the organisation evolves
- Support the production of other communications collateral as directed by the Communications Analyst
- Maintain an organised library of all communications assets — logos, brand files, approved images, press materials, and production files.
